Well, the computer and I made it to the dorms with little to no collateral damage. The roomie seems all right, though we've only had about a whole hour of conversation. But to my surprise, I arrive in the room I had last year to find that our rocking desk chairs had vanished. The hell?! In their place were the crappiest, ricketiest, butt ugliest chairs I've ever seen. Apparently everyone who moved in early ran off with the good chairs and left us these in return. *grumble grumble ROAR*

Tonight, when I go to sleep I will put one of the crappy chairs under my pillow, and a pretty rocking chair will be there in the morning, magically. Thank you, Chair Fairy, thank you! (you know who you are)

In other news, I just downloaded a bunch of songs from a band called Bright Eyes. I love these guys! Their songs are unconventional and interesting, especially "The Calendar Hung Itself" and "Lover I Don't Have to Love". Who are these people? Where did they come from? Why am I just now finding them? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

In some more news: My second to last wisdom tooth is coming in on my bottom jaw...partially underneath another tooth, I think. And I've been grinding the hell out of my jaws lately on top of that. *whimper* It eats you starting with your bottom, indeed.

In yet more news completely unrelated to the above, I won some more at btvs_awards! First, I got this

for stating the simple fact that Jesus owes the First Slayer twelve bucks. The shocker came from this one, though, given to the Dawn animation from my Rocky Horror set:

How'd that happen? There were some damn good icons in that category, dude. Some way better than mine. It's not that I'm not happy about the win, far from it, just kind of...dazed. It's a happy daze, a very happy daze, and there are puppies, but it's still a daze.

Yay! Another Bright Eyes lover! I don't have too many of their songs, but what I have, I absolutely love. If you haven't yet, you must download "Haligh Haligh A Lie Haligh" It's completely amazing.

I recently discovered Bright Eyes myself (though the fabulous Indie channels on Netscape Radio) and have found my Bright Eyes-ed love. Kick ass, huh? I am eyeing off the CDs on my wish list, and hey, it's my birthday pretty soon here. :-D
