snarklyboojum...You know those moments when for no apparent reason a problem you'd been having with a fic pops completely whole and gorgeous in your mind, a shiny jewel of plot and loveliness?
I love it when that happens!
The Bueller/HP thing is coming along in leaps and bounds (with stops for gas and donuts along the way) and I've finally figured out how to work the parade scene. In 1976, the punk scene was just erupting throughout London. The boys run across a small pub where dirty and smelly teens are throwing themselves about and having a tremendous time. Sirius is head over heals, whereas Remus is a little disturbed. What follows is a classic punk rendition of our old favorite, "Twist and Shout".
Is it not nifty?
Here's the thing: Are there any recordings of the song performed this way? I have both the Beatles and "Nirvana" cover, but are there any punk versions? New punk, old punk, doesn't matter - if you know of one, would you please let me know? I'd love to hear a different version, though it's not necessary...
Hmm. How about this: if you give me a cover, I'll give you one back! I've got a billion of them, as it's something of a hobby of mine. So come on. If a cover like I'm looking for exists I'm sure the internet and my friendslist could find it. ;)
