First Impressions upon finishing Deathly Hallows at 2:50 in the morning on a Tuesday...
...TEDDY?! Following in the grand familial naming tradition, I see.ieriously? The battle scenes in this one were some of the best I've read, and Minerva's really quite awesome, isn't she? As is Neville. (NEVILLE! REBEL LEADER! LEADING THE EWOKS OF HOGWARTS TO VICTORY!) And Hermione. And Ron. And Hagrid. And not-so-saintly!Dumbledore. And Kreacher - and who'd ever think I'd say that?
Oh, and I'm glad Ollivander's alive, as he was always one of my slightly creepy favorites. Greyback is more menacing in fan fiction, though, isn't he? Shame.
I knew Snape and Dumbledore were in cahoots, but am I the only one who found Snape a little...lame in this? Is it wrong that I liked Snape a hell of a lot more when I thought he hexed off George's (AND FRED, OH, FRED) ear as a clue about using that particular curse (dark magic can't be reversed blah blah) to destroy the horcruxes? Of course that was way the hell back in chapter whatever the fuck it was.
Snape may have loved Lily, but I still don't buy Remus loved Nymphadora enough to stay with her for something other than the baby. And you can talk about unrequited all you want to, but Dean/Seamus is totally canon.
In one of the illustrations Neville's wearing an eyepatch. Just thought I'd mention. ;)
All in all, I give it two thumbs up. Not something I'm going to read over and over, but an enjoyable experience. This was the sort of book that as hints about the Big Reveal came together in my mind, I totally wanted to shout them out to people, and caught myself talking out loud to the book a couple times. (I may have even said "Oh snap!" for the first time ever. I felt quite happily crazy, and missed living in a place where literary discussion was just a short walk down the hall away.
There are more things that are popping into my head as I write this, both good and bad, but it's too early/late to actually say any of it coherantly. For now, I just want to read lj (it's an addiction that I haven't fulfilled in three whole days, man!) and make notes about what to say later on.
Though I have many HP icons available, I offer you Anya and the freaked out bunny book in absence of potential spoilers. Plus, it fits doesn't it? :)

Harry: Teddy Ruxpin Lupin, you stop that crying right this instant! I will not buy you anymore chocolate ice cream!S
TRL: ARGH DON'T CALL ME THAT! *changes hair to mauve*
