snarklyboojumLet me tell you a story.
About a year ago my computer started randomly shutting itself down and running very hot. One of the IT Guys downstairs proclaimed it a broken fan, and the quest to Fix It, Fix It NOW began. It took three people to open the case, four chain stores, one trip to Panera for moral support, four bread ties, three hours in a car on a chilly night, and - finally - a saint in disguise as a small computer store manager to fix the problem.
This is my first and only computer, and I love it very much.
The extra memory I ordered from Gateway arrived today, and I am endeavoring to install it myself. Alone. This is like giving the guys with the rifles a raspberry and cavorting in front of a suspiciously stained brick wall.
*takes a deep breath, and a final puff on her metaphorical cigarette*
*coughs*
Let's do this thing.

spoonthefork and thoughtdreams, and the "assistance" of my best friend (she held the flashlight)...the MEMORY CARD IS IN! The main problem has always been getting the case open. Turns out that if you find the manual, it's infinitely easier. ;) My computer's so fast I can barely contain myself! Wheeee!
